Pedrosa: Fitness promising so far

Dani Pedrosa said his fitness was better than he expected after securing third on the Portuguese Grand Prix grid, making him the fastest of the three factory Honda riders in qualifying. The Spaniard has undergone surgery in recent weeks to remove a plate from his collarbone after issues with a loss of feeling in his arms during races. Though he is still healing after the operation, Pedrosa said so far this weekend he had been pleased with how he was coping - although he admitted that the real test would come in tomorrow's race.
